How To Increase Your Site’s Traffic With Two New Services
Posted on Nov 24, 2007 under How To Blog |You might of noticed in How2Blogger’s sidebar a new widget from EntreCard. How2Blogger has seen a nice little increase in traffic from EntreCard and another free, new service called rssHugger.
1. Head over to EntreCard and poke around. Watch their short video and read through the ‘Help’ pages.
2. Register with EntreCard and place the widget in your sidebar.
3. Collect credits by dropping your card on other sites, and receiving cards from other members.
4. Sign up for your FREE 125 x 125 ad spot on sites like John Chow (my ad will run for a full day on the 30th of November).
5. Actively build up your credits and increase your blogs visibility for free with the free ad spots on some big sites. Or you could pay a few hundred dollars for the same ads on the same sites. Decisions, decisions.
6. After you’ve played around there for a bit, head over to rssHugger.
7. Register your blog and blog’s feed.
8. Write a review on your blog about rssHugger. Be sure to talk about how it is FREE! and how it works. Talk about the Top 100 page that resets every month, and how it’s like buying a free page on the million dollar wiki or some site like that. It’s a free back link from a site that will drive some traffic from readers looking for new blogs to check out.
9. Promote your page on rssHugger.
10. Sit back and watch the traffic roll in.

I know the Entrecard thing works really well! You’ll have to post something about whether rssHugger works as well.

So far I really like the rssHugger - it’s brought a few hits to the site, but besides register my blog, I haven’t really had to do anything with it. It’s not like EntreCard where you have to keep checking it and working on it. So, it’s pretty painless overall.

Entrecard is something great, in my opinion.
Stumbled your post, for the contest, and for the post (of course).

Entrecard works a treat. Even though I haven’t placed many ads yet, I have received a fair amount of traffic just from people viewing my profile.
I have just tried rssHugger and can’t connect. Is it still available?

I’m currently trying out Entrecard, but I still haven’t tried out rssHugger. Maybe I should.
